Would it mean that tasker became completely obsolete or is there still some functionality in it which is otherwise not set by MQN itself?

Gordon could you produce one version which works with 32 bit containers for hi-rez playback? It has been a long long time and wait.

Cheers

tasker changes priorities/affinities as you instruct it.

don't you think 16/44 is as good as hirez now ?

nfsne ?

8.67 has a setting which gave a big boost to detail in the past, but I thought was too thin, but sounds ok now. much improved detail, not sure if it worked for everyone.

8.70 has it all going on, the closest I've heard to music from a computer.

haha this is a good question. I have not heard hi-rez in my system for as long as I wait for 32 bit container so probably a year now or even more (not complaining just stating)?

But to be slightly more serious, even if 16/44 is already as good with MQN as HiRez I still need to be able to play music which I only have in HiRez and as MQN is hard to beat I would love to have one, even remotely up-to-date, version which works with 32bit containers.

Thanks,
seb

no doubt maybe better
but more importantly does hires have more potential than 16 bit
id guess it has much more potential

doubt theres any chance of 32bit containers at this stage seb

I'm convinced that 16/44 sounds rough compared to 24/96, 16/44 is more of an assault on the ears whereas 24/96 is a more pleasurable experience.

If the 16/44 is like the HiRez, then why not the 24/96 to be like DSD! ;-)

4.70 >> 4.71

Too much bass volume, boomy and less detailed in 4.71
