starting to notice 2.51 has decent 3D sound. beautiful.

fast drum is as crispy as piano. nice!

came across this setting in system.ini:

tried virtual memory in some old versions, seem vibration better a bit but more noise. will back to this kind of memory and learn this Microsoft notice. thx.

i have this theory

with 500 tweaks
win7>8>8.1

win8+600tweaks > win7+500tweaks

inductively

win8.1 needs 700tweaks to beat win8+600tweaks

what if win7+700 tweaks? win7 always wins?

who cares about 7 or 8 or 8.1. i feel the same when using either one. lol. browsing speed = same. gaming speed = same. downloading speed = same. video quality = same.

lekt, if and when you upgrade to win8.1, you might as well use R2. (just use minimum server mode already better than 8.1)

i have msdn, i can give you key for R2. i would prefer stay with 8/R1. can't be bothered to tweak R2 haha.

i did'nt change anything, still win8pro. but will learn more about win8.1 wasapi, maybe its wasapi better, or should be other interface that can use and get more benefit in code. only care about what wasapi core and interface OS version is having. after good tweak as you do i think all windows versions give the same SQ. only what wasapi is better?

begining from v.51.2 lekt player does'nt print any text to console windows. user can edit .bat file for display track/playlist info to console windows. for example:

content of file playlist1.bat (i choosed this method):

notice: too much info text also negative affect to SQ. better display on Title, i feel no change SQ.

JC, i removed "printf(...);" statement in code. any redundant thing in code have negative affecting to SQ. v2.51.2 have difference of v2.51 only this printf statement, no change in code. SQ better, more correct. could you edit your tool to make playlist by this way?
as i think, sound must be slightly rise up, expand to both left and right side on every beat of musical rythm. see CD player's sound have soundwidth/height not too much as software players, but its sound very nice rises up and expand to both sides, nice and slightly on every beat. try v2.51.2, i think better. love this sound.

yes 2.51.2 a little better!

went to hifi shops. tried some popular headphones like dt880, hd650... new headphones are hopeless.

anyway, they use this dp510 CD player. quite expensive. costs 5590 USD according to google.
it doesn't sound better than lekt player + my OS + i7 + dirty power.

lol hd555+lekt+my OS > dt880/hd650+dp510. no need to compare with a good old hd580.

old>new (not saying 555>880. just saying music source>cost of headphone.)
lekt>dp510 in many ways

ran out of tweaks to do.
i need to go through every tweak i did. i must have 10-20 mistakes. -10% SQ.
