The STARTECH card stopped working.

The GIGABYTE board is useless. Won't boot from battery supply and would not output any music from onboard USB with the Linux player. Back to the store for it.

The ASROCK is not dead. Stuck with the onboard USB 2 jacks and it sounds just amazing. Might be better than with the soundcard - will have to make a more serious comparison when I get the replacement. These jacks in combo with the REGEN might be all one needs? We'll see.

The ASROCK will allow me to run the memory at 1.25 volts. Using a cheap 2gB MUSHKIN - seems to work very well.
This board seems to be made for our purposes. You just might need to try one?

The 4130t runs barely warm.

Almost all is well with the world. Ford's in his flivver and the rest ... (Especially if it is the upcoming Focus RS)
