An exceptionally powerful version of one of Beethoven's greatest masterpieces.  Criticised by some at the time of its release for taking liberties with the score and taking an overtly visceral approach to the music but this is nonsense.  It is impossible to push this music too far and this is genuinely great playing which simply presents this deeply spiritual music in the most direct way conceivable.

Yes it was powerful and it was visceral but I somehow believe that Beethoven would have approved of this performance; I certainly enjoyed it.

A superb version of the Britten violin concerto as performed by Janine Jansen at last year's Proms.  A very intense performance, there's a great moment during the the solo cadenza when Jansen appears to be utterly consumed and possessed by the music.  Quite incredible music and one of the great concertos for violin.

Two wonderful performances by Janine Jansen of the music of Karol Szymanowski.  First up is the chamber masterpiece, Mythes, followed by the first violin concerto.  Utterly entrancing and deliriously intoxicating music.
