edit

about sq (as always in my view and on my system)
(1644 8.08normal+3.64 > 1644 8.09normal+3.64) < 1644 7.86normal+3.64
1644 7.86normal+3.64 is really good, my preferred at the moment
8.09 Normal has banished the clicks completely for me too. 8.08 has disappeared so have not been able to try it.

Holy Moly 8.09 is really motoring!
Bags of detail & resolution (sorry Nige) and the instruments just sound so like what the real ones do - nothing has come close to doing that before.

Especially:
Piano - the blurring of fast struck notes is gone and they flow beautifully
Steel guitar - lovely definition and steelness, but no steely iciness
Acoustic guitar - lovely definition and harmonics
Bass - so taut and defined. No overhang at all.

Overall each instrument on the stage sounds so defined but in a smooth way.
Timing is spot on and is probably why the above remarks apply.

So smooth but detailed. Best of both worlds.

I often agree with your reviews, maybe is due to WaveIO. What do you think of 7.86+3.64?

I can't remember! I think I had clicks?
I tend not to go back when I find a really good one like 8.09.

It looks like KS is beginning to show real results & promise. Good news.

can't defend 8.09

8.10 is much better, seems using registers is not automatically going to give the best sound, so it's becoming more of an art to get the best sound.

anyone else use little fluffy clouds as a test track, I can just listen to it again and again.

Yep! I was referring to 8.09?

Appears 8.09 is now discredited so fast is Gordon's progress. I'm not complaining.

8.10 - no sound but there is little difference.
mqnplay.exe uses 1953,9 MB RAM (always) and ~25% CPU. (previously 0% RAM/ 0% CPU)

We've been there before with I think was 7.49 Normal?
Gordon sorted that extreme behaviour pretty quickly and so presumably can do so again.
