Quite so Pepe but as you know I do not like to overstate things too much....but I do agree that it is wonderful!

Ludwig van Beethoven
Piano Sonata No. 23, Opus 57

Alfred Brendel - piano.


I was the first one to rise in our home this morning, so I made my way to my listening room and sat myself down to enjoy a recording of what is probably my favourite Beethoven Sonata, "Appasionata", when I had finished listening to it I sat through it a second time. It is a most extraordinary work and I do love Brendel's performance of it too, it made for a lovely start to the day.
