uploaded 7.83 24/96 avx2 with assembly optimisation, think that's as good as it gets render loop wise, can try slimming the other code.

It's better than 7.81 and 7.82
It's the timing and resolution thing
Maybe it's the dead weight of the excess code

Maybe it was just an unlucky selection for a track.
Just tested 7.83 on a classical piano track Bach partita by Igor Levit, and there it sounds good and also on the Liquid Spirit track by Gregory Porter it shows good clarity.

Will listen to some more.

7.83 and 7.81 don't play here so back on 7.68avx2. Not too bad compared to Fran on 2.73 is that a year ago??

Elaborate? Is that comment on 7.68 or 2.73? Just downloaded 7.84 will give that a try but maybe I am stuck again because of ivybridge. Anybody else getting the 7.8x versions working on ivy?
