uploaded v86 normal no wt version, think I prefer it
yes. v86 no wt > v86. better agility.

bass control is great now. about the same as wasapi.
plus portaudio has additional ease + organic.

my initial impression: v86 + mqn > wasapi + mqn.

No problem! I used the version which SBGK provided, so I didn't change the file. I changed only the name (old name: mqnplay2488.exe 24 bit 7.41 avx2 - new name: mqnplay.exe 2488 24 bit 7.41 avx2) so that it can cooperate with MQNload.

Thanks DJ, I think I'll wait for the corrected version when Gordon gets a chance.

Gordon, that works a treat, many thanks. I played a sample from all 3 Hirez flavours and all good. I then played 3 24/88 tracks and at the end I got a blast of white noise, guaranteed to lift me out of the chair. I repeated 1 track but no noise, I'm currently trying 3 more 24/88 tracks to see. May be some problem on my side but maybe worth others being cautious for a while.

Tony the Ray Brown Trio is wonderful.

Just got it again after 3 tracks, a blast of white noise after the last track. Never happened with MQN before , I'm guessing it's a fault in 3.65, I'll try another sample rate.

Yes, got that as well with a playlist of 88.2/24, right after the first track switching to the next, continous white noise.

Will try other sample rate as well.

Exactly the same on 96/24, at the moment of switching to the next track heavy white noise of high volume.

Started with control 3.65

Didn't happen with 24/96 after/during 3 tracks but mindful of Aleg's experience mirroring mine, I have reverted to mqncontrol 3.64, is it possible to correct mqnplay 2488 by adding the necessary line ? at least until the fault is identified?
KM
added: MQN has so far had no white noise issues for me, couldn't say the same for other famous players. This means one can play MQN loud with confidence.
