yes, these 3 in normal also crack and hiss on my system unfortunately, both with 1644 and 2496.

Not sure about v68 vs v65 vs v63: some aspects get better as the versions progress, detail, bass defenition, sound stage, but yes, v63 has a certain realism that's quite appealing, a really good tonal balance and coherence.

Thanks, by the way, Gordon, for releasing the 7.39 2496 version. I'm really enjoying it. :-)

I think it's amazing how so often I think it can't possibly get any better than this, and then with a new release it does actually get better! And that this has happened already 20 or 30 times ever since I started following this thread all those months ago. What a trip!

Unfortunately also PA72 and PA73 (normal) crackle in my setup (XMOS USB receiver) so I went back to PA63 normal which is very good. Tested only 1644.

think it sounds better as well, guess that's the way it's supposed to work

v75, exceptional sound, best I've heard - has setting to stop completion port notifications - what ever they are.

sounding very good now, am wondering if it is worth trying to go any further with putting the ks code into MQnPlay.

Maybe stop and make this the reference version.

v76 ok, I mean't this version as the reference. Gorgeous sound. The guitar on Heartplay even sounds like a spanish guitar, very sweet sound. Amazing that this is digital music.

v77 and 7.40 will only work together, this is just removing a layer of abstraction from between pa and mqnplay, seems to make a difference.

yup, v63 sounds fast, v77 seems slow in comparison, how can that be, what affects the tempo ? shall see if I can find out why v63 sounds like it does.

resolution still lacking

rising and falling edges smoothed could be whats affecting the tempo

Tested on Server 2012 R2 with AudioPhil's Optimizer
Mqncontrol 3.64, mqnplay 1644 7.39 normal
portaudio 69, 70, 71, 72 and 73 crackling

portaudio 74, 75 and 76:
GUI: ok GUI full AO optimized: ok
Minimal server: ok Minimal server full AO optimized: ok
Core full AO optimized: not working

Still could not solve my problems with 2492 files. Running well with JPlay while Mqn crashes at the beginning and seems to have a problem initiating my DAC.

But I am very happy with the quality achieved with 1644!
