7.37/55 rather than being starkly detailed is flowing and nicely rounded (like a good woman) but with all the detail there. Very listenable and foot-tapable.

I can't keep up either! Actually, by the time I got to download latest versions, there only appears to 7.37 [Normal] there and all the earlier KS versions gone.

I tried 7.37 Normal/3.64/PA 55 and could not got any sound at all. Haven't changed anything else on my system.
7.37 Normal produces no sound with PA53,54,55.
7.35 PA53,54,55 gives a very distorted sound.
7.35 PA38 my previous installed versions works perfectly.

I am wondering if it is anything to do with the WaveIO using Thesycon 2.23 driver that is causing the issue?
Anyone else with WaveIO tried 7.37/PA55 and got sound out?

Might be to do with the way mqnplay finishes, could add a few more seconds at the end
I have 90% confidence that it's to do with the end of the playlist rather than every track but only with some albums. It takes a long time to check it out.

As I focused on the truncation issue I can't offer much constructive comment on 7.37/55 except that it sounds really very good.
Clive, i do not have the issue, neither on single files nor on playlist with whole album. Listened to several full albums, one also gapless on mqncontrol 3.64, portaudio 55, mqnplay 1644 7.37 normal. Might have to do with the single album you have tested?

I had it on 2 albums but everything I've played in the last 3 hours or so has been fine. It seems like it is just with certain albums. Contrary to what I said above I realise I had the issue between 2 tracks as well as at the end of a playlist. The problematic albums are the sort where one track merges into another. I should try some live albums as by this logic they could be tricky. Either way it's not a huge issue as most albums seems fine. I'm enjoying 7.37 so much I can't stop playing tunes.

Edit - I just played some of Alison Krauss & Union Station Live with not gap or truncation issues. What I get on America must be close to a one-off.

Just checked. The same as you described for 7.35 and 7.37.
7.36 is ok with 53, 54 and 55.
All mqnplay are normal version.

Interesting as you have WaveIO v2.23 also.
I was not able to test 7.36 as it had gone before I got there.

So 7.35 PA53,54,55 is distorted.
7.36 PA 53,54,55 is good
7.37 no sound.

Any clues Gordon as to why this is? Thesycon drivers are of course used by a lot of people and are mainstream.

Hey Gordon! What have you done to my music? Everything is free floating, crystalclear, immediately, effortless. Iˋm still shivering. Feels like standing on the top of a mountain and seeing all the beautiful possibilities to come. Hope it wonˋt get too expensive.

how much would you pay if it was a new cable or power supply making the difference ?
