Eh whats up folks?? Best MQn be it wasapi or KS are both excellent. The way I understand it KS was always regarded as the superior route to take and if Gordon is going that route we have a choice to follow or ignore and continue with current working versions of wasapi mqn. In my system so far KS sounds fine.

On a lighter note who is Brian Johnson? Is he a ks developer? If it is that geordie who croaks for AC/DC then David Byrne has a better vocal range than Pavarotti!

I always prefer avx2 versions, but I can't use v7.22 and v7.23. Is there any chance that you keep building avx2 the same way as v7.18, please? That one works fine with avx2 portaudio.
You call them just avx or whatever...
Thanks!

uploaded portaudio v34 normal/avx2 and mqnplay 7.24 avx2

v33 used different sized buffer than normal, v34 uses the correct size, seems to be more detail.

7.24 mqnplay seems to have more speed and detail, uses 2 settings which I'm never quite sure about.

same here, never took to Brian Johnson, hence the comment. Haven't listened to talking heads since the 80's.

uses a vpshufd 256 bit command which is maybe specific to haswells, maybe an avx version would work.

None of in 20's, 22, 23, or 24 would work, v7.18 avx2 is just fine with all portaudio avx2 versions.

uploaded 7.25 and 7.29 which you should be able to play, what do you think of them ?

Are you still able to hear differences even though the data is going through the hugo fpga ?
