I'd say you're in safe territory with the Gothic voices, Simon..
over the past week, this has been getting some considerable exposure, and the verdict is a decidedly good one.

Guys: I just want firstly to apologise for my diminished presence in here over the past 2 or 3 weeks; it has been down to the amount of work I have had on, which is always been unrelenting in the spring, and frankly just seems to get worse each year, and seems to demand long hours. Listening also at times seems to have to go by the wayside, but I hope to be back on track with both, within a few weeks.
I have a window of opportunity on Sunday to start my preparation for the April listening project which I will commence on 1st April as promised when I will have a bit of time to give it some momentum.
I really have to apologise to Matt for my (so far) complete lack of input into his Sibelius thread, but I promise I will add to it in due course.
Sometimes, I wish some of you guys could come over here and see how my job actually operates, so you could understand why I have to dip in and out at times... it really is the very opposite of a Mon to Fri 9-5; it is feast & famine, seasonal existance which can give me lots of spare time during the autumn & winter and hardly any time in the spring... it's just the way it is; sorry.

No worries Jared. The thread is nice but it did not really raised the way I envisioned it in the first place. I take full blame for it and for not making it clear what I was hoping for. But feel free to contribute whenever you can. And if you can't, it really is no big deal.
Matt.

Sondra Radvanovsky is giving a recital tomorrow at the Palace of Fine Arts.
She is one of the few sopranos today who has what it takes for Verdi.
