Tested on Server 2012 R2 with AudioPhil's Optimizer, single PC

Mqncontrol 3.64, portaudio 30, mqnplay 1644 7.15 wdmks sse2
GUI: ok GUI full AO optimized: ok
Minimal server: ok Minimal server full AO optimized: ok
Core full AO optimized: not working

I am still amazed listening to 7.15 ;)

Shouldn't be any difference between operation of v15 and v16, just 2 build settings which shouldn't have any effect.
Downloaded file again to avoid corrupt download. Tested whole setup again and in addition with pa 29, 7.16 stops/crashes before playing. Window shows every message up to the "X - Exit:" as usual. Processes show mqnplay stopping, mqncontrol still in the background. Closing the window manually shuts down mqncontrol.

Tried in addition on normal W7 partition, same PC. Same result, everything works up to the 7.16. Anybody else with server 2012 on AMD with comments?

Let's see what the next version is going to do ;)

Got version 16 of wdkms avx2 1644, version 11 of wdkms avx2 2496 and portaudio v30 avx2 setup with Mqnload, Tasker, etc and 1644 tracks sounded very good out of the gate, really enjoyed listening to a large variety of tracks.
Using the Meitner 32 bit DAC for listening....more on this in a minute!!!

Tried a 2488 track but got a mildly distorted playback and the same with 2496 track which at least is better than previous attempts with Wasapi MQN versions using recent versions from 5 up which barely gave a crackle.

I felt the sound was really good on wdkms so I went back to Wasapi using control 2.97 and 5.14 avx2 and I believe it still sounds a tad better than what I heard on wdkms.

Now the interesting bit...for me anyway and maybe the 32 bit DAC guys who have been desperately waiting for something to appear :-))
I set up the 2496 5.14 avx2 version of MQN with control 2.97 in Mqnload and tried a 2488 track, a 2496 track and a 24192 track and guess what they all played through the Meitner and sounded excellent.

One note is the Meitner was recently upgraded with firmware but still uses the Thesycon drivers so I would be surprised if the upgrade suddenly allowed me to play HiRez using the Wasapi MQN recent versions but who knows.
The sample frequency on the DAC was locking on 96K for all the 88k, 96k & 192k tracks I played but everything sounded very good.

So either the Meitner upgrade gave me something I never had before or the wdkms setup did something to my setup or something else....
Anyone with a 32 bit DAC should maybe try MQN again with the 5.14 files with 2.97 control and see if you can get HiRez playback from Wasapi!

I have my wasapi working again after going back to a system restore point. I'll try ks again tomorrow. What should I do about MMCSS settings?

I didn't know that there is 2496 5.14 avx2 version!

You're skipping my write-ups for some reason, my friend!

Thanks, another reason is that I never paid attention for the 2496 24 bits which I know that I can't use! :)))))
I hope that Pearse is not mistaken and that I will be the same luck! ;-)

7.16 working fine for me. Any chance of a 24/88 version to check the Ray Brown Trio Live track?? Big ask I know but maybe it is the midweek wine but this sounds mighty fine to me. |Bill Evans piano twinkling and resonating beautifully on this version. Using the latest V30 portaudio. Not sure is the dac just burnt in nicely but the sound is exquisite to my ears.

Unfortunately not. No 32-bit support as by a miracle.
Pearse's upgrade must have given him 24-bit support.

All we can do is wait, and wait, and wait, and .......

though 24bit works for my soundcard, believe it actually wraps everything in 32bits. 32bits might give better sound.
