I found my own copy only a few weeks ago! I was doing a bit of cataloging when I found it minus its sleeve. I then remembered I picked it up at a closing down sale....So now I have it stuck in one of my Gary Moore Lps :)
Move over young fella, here's the real deal.......

Most of Rory's output wes rereleased on friday on vinyl but have been spinning this for most of the weekend, one of his last but imho one of his best. A mega player but a really underrated songwriter too....see Continental op or Loanshark Blues for example

Are the Rory Gallagher re-releases still digital? The last batch of Rory Gallagher LPs had digital emblazoned on them, yuch!

Looks like they were remastered in 2013. Haven't compared it to the original release but sounds good to me. One of the few of his I don't have on vinyl myself although it was in the house back in '87.
First time I saw him live he was touring Defender.

Yeah he seemed very focused on song writing with his initial two solo albums but the intensity of the lyrics seemed to drift somewhat (though often still good on songs like Wheels Within Wheels) until Jinx and then really came to the fore again on Defender.
