I can never resist when a youtube search throws up another Remain In Light gem.
Found the other artist from the Mauritanian film done by the BBC but on amazon prime. There is a live version which is a bit bockety( had to tag it on in the end!) but wonder checking out. Malouma Mint El Meidah is the artist. When you do a bit of digging on her and Mauritania you find the world is still a very strange place.
One can see where Byrne and Eno got the inspirations for RIL.

Just love this Tedeschi Trucks video from one of the Eric Clapton Crossroads festivals.

Sadly the keyboard player Kofi Burbidge died a while back, his brother Oteil was the bass player in the band. Love Derek Trucks guitar style.

Ah the totally original John Martin. Mesmerising. Saw him live locally and at National stadium one time. Couldn’t believe how tall he was.

I could watch Derek playing that guitar all day and all night. Such an unusual style of playing. Has to be self taught…..

Agreed Dermot - Derek has great tone and feel. Susan's vocal style is nice too.
This was a favourite of my late wife - she had taste :-)
