I see they're selling a couple of Bach Cantata discs at knock-down prices too. These are probably pretty good:

Of course I know I'll regret not purchasing them, but the infamous pile if foreboding as it is... I simply can't, but I'm sure Dave will.. ;-)

Those are performed by the Ensemble Baroque de Limoges under Christoph Coin: they recorded three CDs of the Cantatas with violoncello piccolo, all really excellent. I bought them as they came out in the 90s. Here's a link to the third. Vocal soloists include Barbara Schlick, Andreas Scholl and Christoph Pregardien. Buy with confidence!

Yes indeed Jared....I have that CD and it is a gem!! However I was obviously robbed as I payed about £1.00 for mine!!!

I honestly did not think that there would be that many takers for Vivaldi Cantatas and String Concertos Jared....I am pleasantly surprised!!!

Could you imagine if I fell in love with Bach's saced music, it's highly unlikely I know (but).......and my wife found out....I'd be 'out on me ear'!

^^ Sean, I didn't realise you weren't a big fan of Bach's cantatas.. that sort of surprises me....

I'm not sure why, its just that your tastes in all things Classical seem to be very broad and wide (to which I tip my hat to you for) I've never really stopped to wonder what you don't like... apart from RVW of course ;-)

I'm not quite sure why this wonderful piece of music is going so cheap, but...
