Johan Helmich Roman was Sweden´s greatest Baroque composer. He visited England and met Handel, and his music is heavily influenced by Corelli and Vivaldi, but if you listen attentively you can also hear a distinct voice. His music is very appealing, and it was a great idea of the Musica Sveciae project to hire the excellent Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and 3 famous soloists to record these wonderful concertos. A great disc!
