Re: What are you listening two?
I so agree Séan, the Cluytens 3rd is quite excellent as is the newer Denève on Naxos. However the Cluytens has that extra special touch that makes it preferred.
Munch took this performance, part of a CSO broadcast archive, quite fast which works in Roussel but again Cluytens overall excels.

While I was looking for images on Amazon UK I noticed that this set is now becoming quite expensive Seán.
I have noe listened to Symphonies 9-12.

The big anniversaries in 2014 are going to be Glück´s and Jommelli´s who are both 300 this year.
Gardiner´s Alceste, released both on cd and dvd [though from different performances in London and Paris] is magnificent. And is it possible that Anne Sofie von Otter is 59 this year?
Re: What are you listening two?
Heard a bit of this on Lyric. I assume it is Boccherini's 'bitter sweet symphony' moment. Minueta was the track I think but very nice.
They played some other bloke before it frankie corelli doing something from Aida. He wasn't bad either.
