Ah that made my day! Unfortunately those pesky yt videos can't be assessed as they're 'not available'. You must have to have a subscription? Anyway I'm going to trawl yt for live versions. What James Gang/Joe Walsh would you recommend? I have a few Joe Walsh's but only one James Gang.....

I just checked and I can access the YouTube Videos via my PC but not via my phone.

I have practically all of Joe Walsh's output on US vinyl, the UK vinyl is a waste of time.

The James Gang:
Yer Album
Rides Again

Joe Walsh:
The Smoker You Drink The Player You Get
So What
But Seriously, Folks!
The Confessor

No, even after disabling restricted mode! Can't try it on the laptop as it's just gone in for repair. I'll just buy the Lps :)

Another one that got away.....almost. I was never into that Asylum sound though I was constantly reminded by friends who worshipped at that particular altar. Got the album anyway and promptly filed it away to be listened to at some future date. Almost 45 years later (last night) I finally swallowed my prejudice and sat down for a proper listen. Maybe the witching hour does something to the psyche but I was in for a surprise or two - David Lindsey's sublime contribution and Jackson's voice. Ok a typical Asylum sun dappled production but it actually suited the music. Then I read the tragic story behind the album and it's follow up. You never know, do you? Oh and I always did love that sleeve, itself reminiscent of a certain Ry Cooder album cover.....

I have practically every LP (US pressings) of Jackson Browne and Late For The Sky would be one of my Desert Island disks! Again the best sounding version is The Mastering Lab (the late great Doug Sax cut this). The UK/German pressings pale in comparison.
