Oh there's hardly a version I don't like.... The sign of a great song I suppose.

Snap. A criminally under-rated album.

It certainly rewards revisiting and feels 'fresh' every time.
It's got an added kick for me, as I have an American brother-in-law called Pete.....("Dear Pete")..........it really could be an album for him and his buddies 'back in the day'!!!! LOL

Ironically I was listening to it while chatting via Facebook with and old school mate "Pete" who again would fit the part well!

The Be Good Tanyas - Hello Love

Enjoying this at the moment, "Old Crow Medicine Show" guest on a couple of tracks.
A very different version of Prince's - "When Doves Cry" makes a nice finish to a very good album.

What an astonishingly beautiful and powerful album.!!
Given an added dimension of pathos in the context of her tragic early passing

I've had that Gillian Welch on heavy rotation the past while. Absolutely gorgeous.

Had forgotten about these guys. That's my work afternoon sorted! Saw them at least one in whelans quite a few years back. Would need to check through the CD / vinyl cases for stubs to see when.
