the T bar is a method of keeping the signal currents away from the power currents

wonder can we cut from a sheet of copper, maybe james healys?

these are the ball bearings were hoping to use for the knobs to provide that extra smoothness

To get the best separation (actually its the voltage drops caused by the currents we need to be concerned about) then the contact point between them should be as narrow as possible. In the set-up shown you'll have a slight voltage difference across (left-right) the downward stroke of the T caused by those power currents. So connections made to the right side will be at a slightly different potential to those made to the left.

im sort of screwed with this distance, im stuck with it we had to split the battery packs apart. Well just have to make the best of it
just shouldnt be very sensitive though should it, impedance should be relatively low?
ive seen guys put power resistors between power gnd and signal gnd,
dont think thats any sort of a solution though as i found that that sort of deadens or smoothes the sound as well as lowering noise

ive seen more sensitive dramatic grounding effects with a class a mosfet amp with same/similar power supply

these spacers really made this sturdy

Yeah, it looks great, really sturdy looking

I wonder if we mightnt be better off using a bar from pole to pole but then using some 2.5 or 4 sq wire from there out to the signal ground point.

We could cut some aluminium
Get this prototype functional
Is there anything to be done tomorrow Nige?
I am available if needed.

OK maybe better to pass for this weekend given that a few are heading to Gerry's tomorrow for the Vinyl get together.
