128 doesn't work
4.75 uses 16 registers in the loop, 4.74 uses 2, so I can try 4 or 8 to see if a balance is better.

Take Eric Clapton - Son & Sylvia - and listen to the guitar:
4.54 avx: peng
the new versions: päng

Are there any ideas as to what part of the hardware / software might be resposible for the inability of some systems to use mqn avx files ?

run mqn AVX from your R2 (min server mode?) admin command prompt.
i bet you are running mqn from third party software?
command prompt has better privilege
if you don't know how to use command prompt, then hmm...
from my experience, lastest avx versions don't need to check that "admin right box".

What is better? Peng or päng?
Maybe a swedish guitar?

4.74 256 is just soooo good on double bass.
Whatever the final version, I think I may save this one just for double bass.
Can we have a special mqncontrol that knows what version of mqnplay to use for what instruments? :-()
Cheers

think he means the guitar sound is wrong in new versions
ill try the track
is a 128 of 4.74 possible
think either 75 or 74 could be used as a template

boom or wham which is better ?
had a go with virtual audio cable using mqn as input and output to usb/spdif convertor via ks, seems to have a clock correction function, attractive sound, but detail a bit smoothed over. output bit rate has to be set manually.
128 is not possible

Thank heavens for that as we have enough variability going on at the moment.........

Thanks Fujak, tried most of what you suggested before but not part 6 for all users , tried it but no success.
Thanks Jesus, tried command prompt for MQN.bat etc but again no success.
Any hope from any of the other sufferers?
