I don't think it's Adams' best work by any means (for that accolade I would nominate
Naive and Sentimental Music). I do like it though; it's perhaps a bit more 'formless' than I am comfortable with but it gradually culminates into a thoroughly absorbing rhyhthmic pulse (common in this composers work) that makes it a piece that I will come back to again...
