I don't know Sorabji at all James.

Hi Fergus,

Sorabji [who only died in 1988] wrote very complicated [hard to play] piano pieces. His piece 'Opus Clavicembalisticum' is 5 hours long and used to be listed as the longest piano piece ever. The pianist John Ogdon was a fan. He has been compared to Busoni. His 'Perfumed Garden' is a sort of dreamy nocturne with with very strange harmonies.
