Got this from 'Allman Brothers' after recommendations
Got my ticket for Rush at the O2.
Took a gamble on this box set mainly because of the sound quality. Music is first class of course.

Good man Mick. Hope you like the Allman Brothers live one. BTW don't even think of comparing it to the Fillmore East set, just enjoy it for what it is and another opportunity to enjoy the original Allmans in their element....
Good on you getting the Rush tickets :-)
My God, that's a mammoth Living Stereo set !!!!! Was it expensive?

Not today, but in Portugal the week before last:-
(All bought in a shop called FNAC, I've seen them in Paris and other places as well. They have some great bargains).
As good a place as any, I guess, to start with Fado.
Prices too good to refuse!
Only €7.99!!!

Nice haul there Johnny, especially the Floyd albums. Is the Piper set the box set version with stereo and mono mixes?

It is indeed. Listened to the stereo mix during the week and settling down with the mono now.

Let me know what you think. BTW have you ever heard the album below. Highly recommend to Floyd buffs.....
A review :
There are so many Porc Tree albums to choose from and they are all so different. This is one of my favourites and is (deliberately) the most pink floydish of the lot, but with large smatterings of 80's tangerine dream thrown in.
Definitely a late night chillout album, although you may wake the neighbours in some parts.
Only criticism is that it lacks an overall cohesive "plot", the music coming and going in phases. Probably due to this being a cut down version of an original concept that never quite made it to completion.

I don't know that one, Dermot, I'm sure Play.com will oblige! BTW, the mono mix of Piper sounds superior, more focused and a cleaner sound. Like the Creedence songs in mono on this sound better:- (another of your recommendations).
