A trip up to the capital on this bloody freezing day and no vouchers :-( Still I managed to get some
fantastic stuff.....

Image
My first from Spindizzy since my friend Adrian left. What a find?!!It's a double Lp of outtakes and alternative
versions including stuff like the 30 minute jam session that is Precision Debating and the 11 minutes
that is Seven Dollars in my Pocket Blues (sic) plus stuf I have already like Cherokee Mist and three tracks from the
Clarke Uni. gig...

Image
Got this one from Celtic Note and was delighted to find the sound quality vastly improved from
an earlier abysmal version that I own...and beautifully packaged too.

Image
Espers 3 from Freebird. Brian was telling me that the shop suffered water damage but very
little stock was damaged TG.

Image
Another one from Freebird...and a Julie n' Dave favourite too :-(

Image
Oh the horror! There goes my credibility! From Celtic Note too. Just curious to see if they could
cut it live...yeah, right :-)

Called down for the fourth time to RAGE and again it was closed!!! Apparently they suffered extensive
flood damage this time...

Image

Got this fantastic little ditty as well! Comes with a two hour DVD too and is 100% unofficial :-)

I was in HMV today and they have a couple of offers - one is a repackaged Basie 2 CDs - you get "Atomic Basie" and "One More Time" for 5.99 and also John Coltrane, "Blue Train", "Traneing In" and "Dakar" again all for 5.99. Good value if the sound is a copy of the originals. I'll be listening later and should know more.

I had seen the count basie offer in hmv but passed as I know nothing about the music or genre and having bought a couple of specials recently that were disappointingly poor recordings. Are both offers (basie and coltrane) highly regarded albums similar to Miles davis's kind of blue?
