Thanks Pearse,
When I looked at PPA page I thought that the separate module clock is only if you buy the clock separately! I somehow assumed that the mobo with clock that he sales is one piece......maybe because I watched Nigel doing it! :)

Paul recommends, on his site, his 5V PS for clock module! Isn't the clock at 3.3v??!
under the hood of ppa clock there is a regulator to make 3.3v
there is a chance it will work at 3.3v also and definitely worth a try

Thanks Nigel,
I was under the assumption that this mobo/clock will use the 3.3v!
I better ask Paul that question.

EDIT:
This is Paul's very fast answer: "My clock module accept +5V only,"

I hope to, because that will screw all my plans of adapting my battery PS to 3.3v only!

To use a direct 3.3v you would have to skip PPA hand wielded silver step-down transformer which he puts on all his inventions ;) unless I am mistaken in which case I am sure someone will correct me :)

Nope its the clock signal that goes through the transformer

Does that means that I'm stuck with 5v?

Seb, since you have the same clock, how are you powering? From mobo, or diferent way.....5v?

When attach the motherboard to the earthed box, is it better to use conductive material (metal) for spacers, or something non-conductive (wood, plastic)?

I'm thinking brass or ebony.....depending on the answer.

Please anyone.....would that make any ground difference or any other trouble or benefit?
