Did you like that recording JB?
Does the harpsichord sound boomy or is it recorded well?

This afternoon, An Alpine Symphony.
I found the sound on this recording a little too bright for my liking but overall I enjoyed this performance.

What an absolutely wonderful work that is....I honestly believe that a version of it should be in every collection.

I just wanted to report that I recently listened to M7 & M8 from the Bertini set....
M7 was a wonderfully assertive, almost bombastic version of a work that can be difficult to come to terms with.
M8 was also a strong, powerful and dramatic performance....simply wonderful.

It's growing on me, I certainly wouldn't call it boomy... quite close miked, but with that usual sense of air that I like about HM
