R Strauss: Arabella [Solti]
This is a recent LP acquisition. I do have this work already on CD and I have always admired the performance. It is a lyrical work and I admire all of the vocals and the general tone of this recording. The music is wonderful and Della Casa is magnificent in her role. The whole cast are, indeed, exemplary.

Ah Fergus, welcome back. This has been a very lonely and quiet site for lovers of classical music.
I have had the Quatuor Ebéne recordings for several years and I love them.
