2.36.1 is spot on. Not bright here. Nicely balanced across spectrum. Excellent dynamics. Excellent bass detail retrieval. Smooth treble and mid. My tapping foot and nodding head tells me it has excellent rhythm - great vibes.

yes. 2.36.1 makes me think my setup is good enough. think i can stop tweaking.

brightness very much depends on setup. if i turn off memory prefetch in bios, bright treble becomes high density beautiful treble. but there is negative effect of earaches. pretty sure intel's prefetch is not totally positive for audio. but we have to live with it.

Will be Xmas before I get time to set up the speaker system to hear the full effect of the soundstage, but 2.36.1 sounds fabulous on headphones.

previous mods i was careless. this time only modded the stack and heap. nothing else.

original still better.

previously also modded MajorLinerVersion to 0A from 0B. 0A always makes SQ more mellow. but changes the sound width and other things. sometimes good. sometimes bad.

mod = MajorLinerVersion + stack&heap
mod2 = stack&heap only

retested v2.36.1, not sure too bright or not, maybe in norm? i careful listen bass and detected little compressing of bass vibration. found out one redundant statement in code and removed, after this sound has become better, correct bass. now i feel normal tempo, here's normal intense and good natural emotion, not creating by false tempo effect.

v2.36.1 mod2 OK, vibration improved a bit and soundstage keeped. seem compressing of bass also removed. if you use mod for more vibration then more take care about soundstage. usually changed to negative, very difficult.
i tried compiler setting with some heap and stack sizes, more vibration but bad soundstage. and back to default setting.
maybe need careful adjust.

good, good. don't hear problem with soundstage.

just need to tune the brightness.
2.36.3 needs 0.1% more bright.
2.36.1 needs 0.2% less bright.
tested using foobar2000 1.2.x + XA native ASIO as reference for brightness.

when not bright enough, my ears feel dry.
when too bright, my ears hurt.
brightness also depends on setup. so, don't push too much or too less. average/safety is good.

still prefer 2.36.1. it is between bright and not bright. it makes sound very very sweet. love it.
