Hi Folks,
I have just got back from visiting most of my reletives, on the way to a work conference in Wales... been away 8 days, so I am afraid I've not got much listening done, but am pleased to say I have at least managed three full traversals of this great set:
I am also delighted to say that on Saturday night, I went to hear the Malvern Festival Orch & Chorus perform Mendelssohn's Elijah, and on Sunday Night, hear the Chandos Symphony Orchestra perform Sean's fave... Mahler V. Both evenings were really enjoyable.. :-))

Welcome back Jared. that Haydn set is very high on my list, well it's behind a couple of Baroque box sets of course.

Joseph Haydn
Symphonies 41, 42, 43, 44, 51 & 52
Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra
Bruno Weil - conducting.
I haven't listened to a Haydn symphony for far too long, they really are very fine works indeed. This is gorgeous music-making by the wonderful Tafelmusik.

Welcome back Jared. I am glad that you seem to have enjoyed yourself while you were away and that you also got some live music in too.

That is very interesting Seán as I have only listened to that set very recently!
