sse2 3.56 1644 (+1.6) is really good. I prefer sse2 3.56 to sse2 3.41, my previous reference. I listened to it a couple of hours yesterday afternoon, I cannot find flaws. Good recordings that I usually play for test are excellent. Just music.
Listened:
Maria Pia De Vito - So right
Roberto Gatto - Remembering Shelly

Very little listening time but tried avx3.56 and now I know what a Kazoo version sounds like. Something seriously wrong with that one.
Enough tracks played by me albeit at low volume that 3.56sse works fine. No comment on how it sounds as I wasn't concentrating. I am using Aleg's arrangement which is excellent so haven't tried 1.6

Yeah - I agree. 3.41 SSE2 was my previous reference.

3.56 sse2 is excellent, avx version has a problem, even Hugo can't swallow it...:(

uploaded 3.56 avx 128 which uses the avx instructions on 128 bit instead of 256 bit, think it makes a difference over sse2

spotted bug in 256 avx version so have uploaded a fix, so now there are 2 avx versions, 128 should play on avx machines without problems. avx 256 still has issues ie I can't play it. Both require avx instruction set.

3.56
sse > avx128

avx128 is smoother, silkier.
prefer sse has texture
flow is almost identical.

3.57avx128 is excellent. Taut bass, detail musical etc. Very like a lot of MQn versions!
Haven't compared it against previous favourites as I am too busy enjoying music using it
