For those who asked this is lovely music that is beautifully sung and played by small forces and makes for a really very nice disc. The style is quite akin to Monteverdi with some lovely vocal ornamentation especially in the second Oratorio.

I thought that this was a magnificent performance. The singing, both male and female, was simply wonderful. The orchestral playing was also superb lending the requisite dramatic setting to the work.
