^^ no, you seam to have sold them to me there... I DON'T like 'big band' Haydn at all... more of a Kuijken fan tbh (I've long since sold my Karajan CD). I have Harnoncourt's London Symphs which I generally enjoy, but find his approach quite measured and a little lacking in emotion, which is why I keep searching...

Both works are played with great flair and conviction.

I am always willing to help Jared!!! They are not in great demand for for some obscure reason so I am sure that you could pick one or two up used for a cheap enough price to sample....try your friends in zoverstocks.

There is great music making in this one as one would expect and I especially liked the performances of the brass section.

you aren't wrong... some of them are going ridiculously cheaply, and I am sorely tempted... however as always, it is listening time which is at a premium, and the infamous shelf is positively bulging with good things at present. Likewise, I can't see them disappearing any time soon, so I will hold fire, possibly to the new year...

I thought you might pick them up cheaply all right Jared; I simply do not understand why they are so undervalued. Anyway, they will certainly brighten up a dark, dreary January afternoon for you!
