----TWEAK 55-----
reduce usb polling rate. (already posted this)
http://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_72b3301c0100ph4o.html

i just realize this tweak cancelled itself. i guess it happens after updating/cleaning up drivers.

(spent a month trying to figure what went wrong... it is this little piece of s**t)

start to don't care what anything means anymore. just tweak and test

saw the string "DPI". have to try it

http://cpuoverride.blogspot.com/2014/02 ... -htpc.html
add LogicalDPIOverride with a value of 1 to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\

to cancel
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]
"LogicalDPIOverride"=-

BRIGHT.... hurtful. cancel immediately...

updated
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=2456&p=47296#p47296

saw pkshan updated his list. so i re-tested everything. found two mistakes

cancel disabling these:
(win7 and above)
Intel(R) 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family SMBus Host Controller

(win8 and above)
Remote Desktop Device Redirector Bus

cancel disabling core-parking.

RESTORE TO DEFAULT
powercfg -setacvalueindex scheme_current sub_processor 0cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583 10
powercfg -setactive scheme_current

DISALBE CORE PARKING
powercfg -setacvalueindex scheme_current sub_processor 0cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583 100
powercfg -setactive scheme_current

retested from 0, 10, 20...100:

0 is little messy
10 just sounds right
20 treble starts to turn hard, sharp (by losing micro-details)
....
100 gets more hard, more sharp, more airy (by losing more micro-details)

100 worked fine for me when OS was poor. now the issue becomes too obvious to ignore.

i use i7. not sure this applies to i3, i5.

(NOTE: FOR GAMERS, disable core-parking is usually a good idea)

Anyway, here's the screenshots of what I was able to delete, finally:

Here's the contents of the "drivers" folder:

All told this was about a 1.5 GB reduction.

I'll post an updated SysWoW64 list later, too, which is only about 150MB.

edit: edited for clearer and smaller images, upped to tinypic

edit 2: These NLS files can also be deleted from system32:

internethandle and for those interested in stripping OS:
http://www.analogx.com/contents/downloa ... eeware.htm

i was able to delete 1-2GB of dll using it.
just need few clicks.

(NOTE: THIS ISN'T MEANT FOR BETTER SQ)

R2 has much better timing than R1. R2 has some kind of 'plastic' tune/layer. hopefully, it will be gone...

here comes R2 tweaks.

white/gray>light blue>darker blue>black
dark colors seem bad for SQ. currently using white.

many new things are undocumented, including:
1. set SleepStudyDisabled=1. i immediately like it
2. in bcdedit, it has this:
allowedinmemorysettings 0x15000075
don't know what it is. deleted it. SQ seemed worse. keeping it for now
3. DisableAutoBoost. default=1. set it to 0. hmm... a lot has changed. not sure
4. MaximumSharedReadyQueueSize. default=1
0 -> seems more raw. 4 -> worse?. 16 -> bad.
again. not sure.

MS has changed default value of LargeSystemCache to 1.
it was 0 in win7/8.

changed it back to 0. now R2 sounds less strain/stretch. lighter. just like R1.
