Tim Thurston started a new Cantata cycle himself on Gloria with Wachet Auf, but I didn't catch the performers. Marvellous music in any case, and I was thinking of you, Fergus.
An ideal time to really start delving into that wonderful box set that you purchased recently which I suspect is probably languishing on a shelf somewhere in the man cave!
Don't worry, Fergus, that's getting more airplay than anything else I've bought recently. Still just dipping in and out without any pattern, but it's all good!

Delighted to read that Simon! Don't worry about my OCD approach, rather merely enjoy the wonderful music.

The not too often heard but wonderful Mass in C from Beethoven....
This is a really lovely work and deserves more attention. The performance here is also a very good one. The Bruckner Motets which serve as fillers are also very nice and are equally well performed here.

Ever since Aleg posted last week that he was listening to some Mozart String Quartets I have been dipping into and enjoying this box set....
What intrigues me about the Mozart String Quartets is that the musical language is so different from his symphonic work.
