Mine is just Windows 8.1 so this is Home edition or whatever MS call it. It's not Pro. :-(

Great you managed it.
Was it indeed the security policy thing?
Cheers

thankyou, thought it sounded good.
where's the avx version ? thought I'd get that one in first.
wonder if the exe is now so clean that we are hearing issues with the assembly code so going
to try loading the data into cache which should help smooth things out a bit.

I think I have located the setting in registry that is changed by this, but I'm a bit wary of posting registry keys.
Are you comfortable about changing registry settings by hand and backing up / restoring registries?
If so I can pm the registry key concerned and you could try it.
Cheers

pro sucks. every extra feature = 1 more jitter.
pro vs home = at least 100 differences = 100 more jitters.
for every extra file in c:\windows = -0.01% SQ.
1000 more files = bye bye SQ.
actually, even the registry is much slimmer in home than pro than R2.
for each extra registry key = -0.01% SQ.
1000 more registry keys = bye bye SQ.
the effect of each jitter increases in power, as your OS is more well tweaked.
tweaking makes SQ worse is normal until each and every jitter is fixed.

ALeg,
Many thanks.....yes I'm fine to navigate the registry and change it manually.

[quote="Aleg"]
Just an overview of my setup:
Standard Contents of my mqn-directory for avx or sse:
448-clockrate.bat
Files.txt
MQn.bat
MQn-aff.bat
param.txt
paste.exe
Into this I copy:
mqncontrol.exe (from the 2.97-zip)
mqnplay1644.exe 24 bit 3.14 avx.14 avx.14 avx
And rename the last one to
mqnplay1644.exe
Aleg, I'm confused, how come you have two MQn.bat files?! I'm also using Tasker, but I have only MQN.bat from Tasker and no other bat!
Am I living in "Dark Ages" again?!
