OK, it's finished.
I only did the sse2 3.11
I don't think the sse2 is bad, but just not as good as the best of the avx like the 3.08.
For those having problems with running the avx versions, make sure you have the checkbox "Run as Administrator". Set in the properties/compatibility tab of both mqncontrol.exe and the mqn1644.exe.
Also always try to run it at least twice when changing over from another version, I need to do that as well sometimes.
But checkbox "Run as Administrator" is mandatory for me otherwise it will start but no sound comes.
.Back to listening avx 3.08 (and some more Art Blakey ;-))
Cheers

Good glad your findings on 3.11 are similar to mine. Are you creating false hope here on avx? No Haswell no avx?
Tony
Not all is lost. Your Sandybridge also supports avx

What you mean Tony by "No Haswell no avx"?! You can play avx with your Zuma, right?
Ok will go off and try again. I had given up on any avx stuff as I went through a time when nothing worked but will try the run with admin rights and running it twice and see what happens.

I had the same problem, until I checked to Run as administrator and checked Compatibility mode to Windows 8 (control program).

Think I am starting to get like the goldfish going round in the bowl! I remember a conversation similar to this and cvrcle59 comments above but I am using 2012R2. What control is being used with 3.08 avx? Will try that one.

We have the same PC, so it have to work.
None of the avx2 worked, but it should be no problem with avx at all.
I use control 1024.
Just got 3.08 avx running on a new ws2012 install one time but after a reboot no go. Tried the checking the mqncontrol-mqnplay-mqnload as admin, win8 compability mode on mqnplay, tried running it more then twice, but still no go. What's wrong with avx, sse always works.
That one is excellent, just listened to it on low vol because our babygirl is sleeping, the first time I just was listening to the whole ttrack and forgot to analyze. Thumbs up from me
Aleg - Would you be so kind to share which control you have been using with testing the latest avx 3.08, 3.09, 3.10, & 3.11 versions?
With my set-up (converter is built for 16/44100 only) I've been somewhat in sync with your results, the avx versions have been consistently one small notch above their sse2 counterparts.
I may be the Lone Ranger on this build example, but last night I had good results with avx 3.11 version using the control that was included/packaged within the 2.97 zip file version. For some reason I assumed the control contained within the zip file examples was to be the preferred control for these latest versions. I briefly listened to avx 3.11 with the current posted "control 1024" but preferred the control included within the above-referenced zip file.
I would like to try the same control you are using to see if their is any additional coincidences with our listening results.
Thanks, Steve
