You may not have the funds but do you have the strength of character? LOL!!!
Doesn't collecting classical music show strength in character in the first place? ; -)
and being of sound mind too. :)

While looking for a photo for this CD I noticed that there were two copies available for £0.01 + postage om Amazon. I can definitely recommend the performances for anyone wanting to explore this music; certainly worth the postage!

I love Perahia 's music-making, he's probably my favourite pianist, that set would cost ¢73.00 and then there is import tax to consider, one is tempted.

^^ goodness me! there really are some incredible bargains out now, aren't there?

one would think that it's the end of the CD as a medium and the record companies are trying to squeeze the last penny out of the market while there's still time... ;-)

almost takes the fun away from building up your personal collection, doesn't it?

Those wanting to sample some of Purcell's music could do worse than starting here as I think that it is a lovely CD. Here is the link to the Amazon page if you are interested:

Oxfam in Rathmines has lots of classical vinyl at sensible prices. You will have to soft through some junk as well (of many genres) but it could be worth it.

Lovely Ivor, thanks for that, I better get there before young Fergus cleans them out.
