Re: Alternative Editions of Contemporary Music.
For these hazy, crazy days of oblivion.....

Re: Alternative Editions of Contemporary Music.
Great set you’ve got there! Yeah it certainly represents value! I stole my photo from the web, so my set is slightly different.
I thought I had that DMST album as well, must have a look around...
I saw Godspeed in the Ambassador I think.... Epic gig!

Good to hear from you! Thanks for the kind words. Yeah, I've seen loads of different covers over the years. Fortunately I wasn't one bit tempted to add to my collection ;)
You actually saw them live! Wow! Must have been an ear shattering experience. Which album were they plugging at the time?
Re: Alternative Editions of Contemporary Music.
The much abused art of going from quiet to loud and back again......

Re: Alternative Editions of Contemporary Music.
You are welcome and same to you! Godspeed was in 2002 I found out. So it was "Lift your fists...." they were touring... I just remember it being crazy loud with the signature "Ambassador sound", which left you questioning what is actually happening and which song is being played no matter what band was playing there. Must be the worst acoustics of any venue in the country....:Dcybot wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 8:09 pmGood to hear from you! Thanks for the kind words. Your recommendations are brilliant, Dermot. Keep 'em coming!

Ah that's really kind of you to say Claus! I certainly will keep them coming! You too :)Claus wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 9:28 amYou are welcome and same to you! Godspeed was in 2002 I found out. Ah so it was the Skinny double they were plugging. I absolutely hate that sleeve! I dread to ask how many of them were on the stage that night lol! Pity about the acoustics though....
Re: Alternative Editions of Contemporary Music.
I've been listening to this American electronic musician a lot lately. This is the only set I have of his favouring the likes of his fellow compatriots Braheny, Roach, Slepian and the like instead. It was an inspired decision to buy this early and mostly unreleased experimental work from a label I was vaguely familiar with, VOD, Vinyl On Demand. Run by a chap callled Frank Maier who specialises in long forgotten cassettte releases for the vinyl medium.
Anyway read the HFW review/screenshot. Probably writtten by a certain Paul Rigby who certainly knows his music. The other link featuring a fantastic appraisal from a customer Discogs review.

Re: Alternative Editions of Contemporary Music.
Arrived this morning (eventually!). Double vinyl edition from Important Records up in Groveland, Massachusetts. Amazing what you can do with that 'ol radio static.....'tis the space between the stations where the real magic lies.....
