I'm confused. Should I be using the mqn control that came with the 'packages' for the 2.99 and newer? I'm still using 2.87 and have to say it really has an organic warmth that sounds superb in my setup.

mqncontrol in v.297 package, control.exe 512, control.exe 1024 can all work with r2.99, r3.02 provided mqnplay1644.exe exist in same folder even if you only intend to listen to play2496.exe

these 3 controls uses different proaudio clock rate for 1644, for 2496 they all use 10000, with slight difference in SQ.

I always reset the clockrate to the most favourable for my setup after starting mqnplay.

What are you not sure about?

I think it is a big step forward for an sse2 version.
It's getting nearer to avx on my office setup (not as revealing as my main room setup but cannot listen there now).

As long as you two guys (Gordon&Aleg) don't agree on a version, there will never be a final one....sigh...

I'm sorry I did grab the 3.04 and not the 3.03.
So my comment was about the 3.04

3D

There have already been a number of versions I would have taken as a final. Mostly of the avx type.

But Gordon goes on trying new different things and he keeps finding nice ones.

Not my fault ;-)
