MQN
Re: MQN
Steady on old boy! The sibliant Anna Netrebko track sounds wonderful on 2.98not fast. I do remember Gordon advising 2.31 was nearly a wrap so not tempted to suggest this could be a closer!3daudio wrote:can I have a 2.98 too fast too furious?

[2.98 not fast] Again even more details, sound is incredibly open and airy with deep bass. This one is my favorite.sbgk wrote:uploaded 2.98 not fast for a more natural presentation

Re: MQN
not quite right, so introduced a setting I'd taken out when trying to get a brighter soundsbgk wrote:uploaded 2.99, just discovered another setting, sounds seems to be lifted to another level, may need tweaking, but seems ok on initial listen
uploaded 2.99 sse2 and avx tuned versions
think this is good enough, the end for now as far as SQ goes
listening to Carol King, good for judging the SQ by the the break in her voice plus lot's of bass, drums and incidental sounds.
This is the best version I've produced, a real foot tapper which is always a good sign.
Re: MQN
2.99 was a bit brittle for me harsh treble. the tuned version seems to have restored some balance for me anyhow. Going back to the 12gb 2.97 whatever mistake you made sounds ok to me. Maybe i have spent too much time tonight on this!

Re: MQN
I'm sort of confident 2.99 is the better technical solution and it sounds good to me, see if it lasts.tony wrote:2.99 was a bit brittle for me harsh treble. the tuned version seems to have restored some balance for me anyhow.
