Wonderful Wife: "More than two thousand? How many have you got?"

Seán (the amadán didn't see it coming) "I have about 2,400."

Wonderful Wife: "You have two-thousand-four-hundred CDs, my God!"

Faeces!

Good job that you did not add in the vinyl count as then you really would be up to your elbows in the brown stuff!!!

Music by contemporaries of Leonardo da Vinci. The music in the main is great and the performances on contemporary instruments are wonderful evoking an enthralling sonorous sound world.

I am bewildered as to why Zelenka's music is not well known. It is wonderful stuff!

Capriccio No. 2 in G
Capriccio No. 3 in F
Camerata Bern

Alexander van Wijnkoop conducting.

In a word, wonderful! A special mention for Barry Tuckwell's horn playing as it is sublime.

I first heard the Gloria from Missa Dei Filli on Lyric about two or three years ago. On that occasion it was performed by the Frieburg Baroque Orchestra with Collegium Vocale Gent conducted by Marcus Creed and it was exhilarating.

This performance is really beautiful.

I am a fan of both Zelenka and Tuckwell so that CD has just been added to the List!
