The Jupiter Symphony does lend itself to performances by a large orchestra, what of the beautiful 29th though, what do you make of that recording?

Benjamin Juárez Echenique conducting.
This is a rousing and beautiful work by the Mexican composer Samuel Zyman and is performed wonderfully here by flautist Marisa Canales (what a gorgeous tone she has) and Orquesta de las Américas all under the direction of Benjamin Juárez Echenique. I LOVE it.

When I bought this cd many moons ago I was very disappointed with it as I thought the music was dull and repetitous but I was wrong and, with repeated listening, it has grown on me. The performances are WONDERFUL.

Yes, it is amazing what the development of an "educated" ear does for the interpretation of music over time. I have been there many times myself Seán on my extended journey; it is all part of the education process.Seán wrote:
