Interestingly, the first movement is 11'15 long and that is some 4 minutes longer than the Grumiaux and Juilliard recordings in my collection. Good though this is, it does not compare favourably to the Grumiaux recording, in fact when comparing the two I am looking forward to the end of the performance by the Orlando and Imai so that I can get back to the Grumiaux.
And now for the Juilliard......
Their speeds cannot be that slow so they must be performing repeats that the other ensembles are not performing.

I love these performances from a too long neglected set in my collection. Bart van Oort's playing is delicious the fortepiano is ideal in this repertoire. These are lovely works and all three musicians shine here. Recommended.

I like his work Seán; his performances are usually strong and assertive. I like his Mahler of which I have a number of performances.
