Norrington and the London Classical Players have their fans and detractors Seán. It seems that you either like them or you don't. I like them so I am sure that I will get on well with this set....I will of course let you know.

Absolutely! Ciarans's review makes it quite tempting and of course I have a weak spot for any Jordi Savall recording.

I was in Tower earlier today, Thursday, and I bought the following two sets in a two for €10 deal.
Roy Goodman with the European Union Baroque Orchestra in a performance of Bach's Markus Passion:
and Theodore Kuchar conducting the splendid Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra in a 3 CD set of Dvorak's Symphonic Poems :
