I love it... fairly stripped back southern country/folk...

He was playing a double header with William Tyler (who is married to a friend of ours), he blew me away!

Just him and an auditorium guitar, with backup from William on a couple of tracks...
Brass Bands are all very well in their place -
outdoors and several miles away....

Is this the same William Tyler from the Tompkins label? Solo guitar? If it is how do you rate him?

The very same!

I like it, but in small doses, much the same as most solo guitar (with the exception of flamenco and classical) I find the excessive demonstration of chops to be fatiguing for a whole album....
