uses standard atx 24 and 4 pin power.
no dc conversion on the board.
2ghz quad core Celeron and only 10watt.
you could run this off a linear PS setup or a good PS like leadtek or seasonic.
I am grabbing one myself.
The dvi version is easier to come by at the moment, and is highlighted in item audios post.
make sure its got avx instruction capability, i wouldnt bet on it with this board
nope its not. already knew that
not sure its a major problem

The J1900 version is a good second alternative to the J1800 board: either are radically better than the SFF boards for audio application, and barely more expensive. Resamples lower-rate DSD all day. As long as you don't use it with a PicoPSU, it's a little beauty.

quad core v's dual core. gives ore flexibility with using the machine for video playback.
I would go with the J1900, its still low voltage
It would be nice if the J series CU's had AVX.
But looks like you need an (i) processor for that unfortunately.

If you want to get more serious about your Pi build . . .
Replace the ES9023 with an ES9018k2m-based I2S board like this this one and feed it with a 3 wire I2S signal connection from the Pi. Boards and power requirements vary.
Bypass the Pi's onboard 5 > 3.3V linear regulator and power it via a 3.3V LiFePo battery and upgrade the 19.2MHz with a Tentlabs or similar module fed with a separate clean 5V supply (ideally battery).
Hardwire better interconnects.
Install Volumio/MPD instead of Raspbian. This, and the 3.3V mod will rob the Pi of its ability as a multimedia player (no video output or playback), but it will fairly significantly improve its performance.
hi mark has someone managed to replace a clk on the pi?
might give it another look then so
can confirm the pi works best on lifepo4

The new ASRock Q1900 models seems to be really nice, and also have DC input versions...
