I love it Dave....I love the whole atmosphere of the disc....especially the textures of the instruments.
I really must get more (all!!!) of this series....

definitely worth it. I think Ciaran has a few of those recordings too.

I do, and I really love that one. But it's just stunning the quality of Vivaldi recordings that are appearing now, not just in this series. The concertos for two violins on DG Archiv with Carmignola and Mullova, for instance. Just staggering!!

Bassoon (in Italian). Fagotto is cognate with English "faggot" meaning bundle of firewood: I suppose someone thought a bassoon looks like two logs tied together!
