Rock - what are you listening to?
Re: Rock - what are you listening to?
Is this the remastered vinyl edition Dave? What's your opinion both sonically and musically? I'm guessing you already have Spirit of Eden? A similar but superior work IMO....DaveF wrote:

I think its remastered version Dermot, I'm not sure but the record did look pretty new. Its certainly a very interesting recording and it will take a few more listens to 'get it' some more. Spirit of Eden is on my list. I'll probably pick it up next week sometime.cybot wrote:Is this the remastered vinyl edition Dave? What's your opinion both sonically and musically? Can never quite decide if this or Pink Moon is the better record. I think I'd give the nod to this one.

Greetings from LA is what I have lined up to play after the above. Totally agree with you, a very underrated artist. Many have never even heard of him. Thanks to Paul (mcq) for introducing me to his work.jaybee wrote:DaveF wrote:On the TT...

What do you think of Lorca and Starsailor?

Re: Rock - what are you listening to?
I think starsailor would be my next favourite, but I'd give him a hall of fame spot based on greetings from la alone...

Think of it this way: Bright Side Of the Moon vs Dark Side of the Moon? Which would you rather? I adore both of them.....
Have a look here and scroll down inside the Fruit Tree box set....Compare the image of Nick on the sleeve of FLL with Pink Moon...
